C2

C2 is an EICR Code used to denote something that could pose a danger, and should be remediated, as it could cause a risk to the user. For example, a missing gland or missing RCD protection.

C1

C1 is an EICR code used to show something that poses an immediate danger or is dangerous to the user. A C1 should be remediated urgently to prevent electric shock or fire. Examples could include, Overloaded Cables, Exposed Insulation or Copper or incorrect polarity.
